Features:
Construction
Vapium markets this unit as a rugged vaporizer for people with active lives, and it meets those expectations. It’s solidly built. The outer shell is a high-strength/high-temperature polycarbonate and the grip is a thermoplastic urethane. The conduction heating chamber and pathway are made from stainless steel. The chamber is covered by a secure, magnetic lid.

Battery & Charging
The Summit has an internal rechargeable, lithium-ion battery. A full charge takes about an hour, and you’ll get about an hour of usage before it depletes its charge. This unit also has a ‘pass-through’ charging feature , which allows you to use the vaporizer while it’s charging.

Note
: Vapium also offers
a portable solar charger.

Temperature Settings
You can adjust the heating chamber temperature with 8 separate preset settings, from 320°F/160°C to 446°F/230°C. According to the manufacturer, the preset temperature of the heating chamber is maintained using an advanced microcontroller and temperature sensor.

Performance & Vapor Quality: The Summit heats up in about a minute, which is relatively quick compared to other portables. The unit vibrates when you turn it on and again when it heats up to the specified temperature. The vaporizer chamber has a capacity of 0.2-0.3g of finely ground cannabis, which delivers on average about 10 good draws. For a conduction unit, the vapor quality is quite good at the lower temperature ranges, though becomes more “toasty” tasting at the higher settings, which is typical for conduction.

TIPS: Make sure you grind the cannabis material very finely. Always start at the lowest temperature and work your way up the range for optimal vaporization. Stir the material in the chamber as you move up the temperature range. Don’t pack the chamber too tightly or you will restrict the flow of vapor.

Maintenance:
Like most conduction vaporizers, this unit is a little tedious to clean. The metal screen has micro-holes that tend to clog up with resin quickly. The chamber cover and the mouthpiece are both secured with magnets, which does cut down a little on cleaning. Q-Tips and isopropyl alcohol work quite well.

The Pros:
Fair price point, solid construction, simple design, decent vapor draws, generous temperature range, very good battery life on one charge, unique and useful haptic feedback notification (vibration feature)

The Cons:
The black, rubber grip can get quite warm with prolonged use. Like most vaporizers with metal screens, they require frequent cleaning. The magnetic lid is secure but wished the underside material was something other than plastic. The two highest temperature settings are too high for quality vapor, which is the downside to conduction.

RPT SUMMARY:
This thing is perfect if you’re on a budget. When I confiscate it, you won’t be out too much and you can use the extra money you saved for bail.

And remember, the next time you turn around, turn around again ...'cause I’ll be there.
