VA Haze: Demons, Part I

Officer Dick Downey's Pot Report

Your Illinois Medical Cannabis Authority

Case: VA Haze (flower)

File Date: 10/27/2016

Case No: 0059

NARRATIVE:
Do you wonder if you’ve ever shaken hands with a real life monster? What are the odds that you’ve unknowingly crossed paths with a living, breathing demon?

I’d been on the force less than two years when we discovered the first vic. It was a middle-aged homeless man, dumped in an alleyway. My partner and I were taking a short cut through an alley late at night when we caught a glimpse of what looked like a human torso hanging halfway out of a residential garbage can, and missing a head. We thought it was a manikin until we took a closer look. The coroner and detectives determined that the man was tortured for several hours, ultimately given an intravenous overdose of heroin, then beheaded and dumped in the alley. His head was found at the bottom of the garbage can, scalped.

Over the next six months, four more middle-aged men were found beheaded and sticking out of alleyway garbage cans. All of the men were homeless drug addicts and all were tortured and murdered with the same M.O..

All of these five vics were found in my beat. Me and my partner found two of them. Most cops don’t encounter a serial killer in their entire careers but there I was, still very much a rookie, and I’ve got one in my backyard. Back then, I thought I was invincible, but this whole thing started to get the best of me. I couldn’t wipe those damned headless, ravaged bodies from my mind. I was being haunted by the smell of the corpses, the endless screams, all the useless begging for one’s life. It was an insidious kind of fear that slithered its way through my veins until it latched on to my soul, and it was consuming me.

The conclusion will be in my October 31st Review

ANALYSIS:
Type: Sativa-dominant Hybrid

Genotype
:
VA Haze =  Chemdawg 91  X  Haze

Chemdawg 91, aka Chem 91 = (most likely) OG Kush X Skunk #1 X Massachusetts Skunk  OR  Chemdawg X Skunk

Haze, aka ‘O Haze’; Haze Bros’ Original Haze
The Haze family of strains is perhaps my all-time favorite. For Haze fans like me, here is the nerd backstory per seedfinder.com:

Haze Brothers > Sam the Skunkman (Cultivators Choice) > Wernard (Positronics); Neville (The Seed Bank); Eddie Reedeker (Flying Dutchmen)

Sam the Skunkman was the breeder of the first commercially available "Original Haze" from the Haze-Brothers’ genetics.

Cultivator
:
Bedford Grow

Date Purchased
: 10/20/2016

Delivery Method(s) Used
: Clean glass pipe

Cannabinoids Profile
:
THCa 21.96%; THC 1.54%; CBDa .10%; CBD .08% (LK Pure Labs)

TIP: To learn how you can use this cannabinoids data to better your health, see the Cannabinoids Library page.

Phenotype Profile
: Light and medium bright green buds with long fire orange pistils and decent trichome development. While these buds are a bit airy, they are also denser than they appear. This sample was on the dry side.
           Bud Density: 3.5   [1 -5]

Terpene Profile
: The intact buds gave off the unmistakable spicy-sweet-pungent Haze aromas mixed with lemon and fuel. In its ground form, this sample gave off lots of diesel and sour lemon melded with Haze’s uniquely sweet and pungent aromatic profile. The smoke inherited the Haze smoothness and tasted uniquely Haze with an earth and fuel backdrop and mild citrus notes.

TIP: To learn all about terpenes, see the Terpenes Library page.

Effects
: This is a very nice daytime high that is at once energetic and uplifting. Although this one is mostly cerebral, the Chemdawg side adds a little extra headiness and mild body relaxation to the experience. In high doses, a little spaciness may kick in, too.

Duration of Effects
: 2 hours

May Help With
: Helped with creativity and energy. May also help with mood, depression, appetite (and more)

Rating:
3.5/5
An interesting marriage of Haze and Chem 91.
