Officer Dick Downey's Pot Report

NARRATIVE:

Ah yes, fan mail from my admirers. Here’s another recent one from the mail bag...

Officer Downey,

I got pulled over by one of you pigs last weekend for speeding and this pig wouldn’t answer any of my questions, so I’m gonna ask you.

1) Don’t you have to show me the radar? It’s my Constitutional right!
2) They pulled me over in my driveway. They can’t ticket me on private property!
3) Besides, I was already out of the car. They can’t ticket me once I’m standing outside my damn car!

I should have kicked that pig’s ass.
Mr. Anonymous

Dear Mr. Anonymous:

To answer your questions:
1) No, pigs do not.
2) Yes, pigs can.
3) Yes, pigs can.
Regarding the ass kicking, next time it only takes a half-second for you to unbuckle your seat belt.

And remember, the next time you turn around, turn around again ...'cause I’ll be there.
-Officer Dick Downey, Badge #710

ANALYSIS:
Pen Type: 500mg Cartridge

Method of Extraction: Carbon dioxide (C02), and further refined with food-grade Ethanol

About CO2 Extraction
Carbon Dioxide, or CO2, occurs naturally in our environment: whenever we breathe, with decomposition, and even through ocean release. We find CO2 in our sodas and it’s used as an industrial solvent for creating everything from food extracts to fragrances. It’s known as ‘dry ice’ in its solid form. CO2 is considered safe by the FDA and non-toxic. In the cannabis industry, it is often referred to as a ‘green solvent’.

The generic process is typically referred to as ‘supercritical CO2 extraction’ whereby CO2 is converted to its supercritical state (i.e., having liquid properties while remaining in a gaseous state) by applying very cold temps and pressure and is then used as a solvent to strip the resinous trichomes from the cannabis plant material. All of which occurs in a sophisticated CO2 extraction machine. In addition to supercritical extraction, other methods are also used, such as distillation.

Form: Cannabis Vape Oil

Type: Indica Landrace

Genotype:  Mag Mile  =  Iranian Indica Landrace

About Landraces
A “Landrace” strain is one that evolves naturally in its indigenous environment, and therefore, is absent of any systematic breeding or hybridization. As a result, the strain can eventually adopt the traits best suited for the specific area in which it develops. This doesn’t necessarily make landrace strains superior to hybridized strains; however, their characteristics tend to be very unique. Think Acapulco Gold, Panama Red, Durban Poison, Purple Thai or Hindu Kush, to name a few.

Functionality: This vape cartridge must be charged and then attached to a lithium-ion battery to use it. Your dispensary will provide the battery and charger for free with your purchase. The cartridge fits any standard 510 thread.

TIP: Make sure the dispensary gives you the battery & charger with your purchase.

Performance & Reliability: I have had no issues with this cartridge leaking or malfunctioning in any way. I should point out that after each session, I disassemble the cartridge from the battery and store the cartridge with the plastic covering back on the end of the cartridge. I have not had any clogging problems.

NOTE: For the basics on how a vape pen works, see the Vape Pen Quick Reference

Terpene Profile: Alpha-Bisabolol 0.0396%; Beta-Caryophyllene 0.03671%; Alpha-Humulene 0.1100%; Limonene 0.0840%; Linalool 0.0283%; Beta-Myrcene 0.1608%; Beta-Pinene 0.0272% (ACT Labs

Like Ataraxia’s Corleone Kush vape oil cartridge, this Mag Mile oil also offered an exceptional terpene experience. Pungent, sweet purps up front followed by earth and spice. You can almost assign specific terpenes to each flavor. For example, the spiciness is most likely coming from the high levels of Beta-Caryophyllene.

IMPORTANT: The terpene levels listed above are for the Mag Mile flower and NOT for this specific extract. I'm providing this information to show the terpenes for the strain used to make this oil.

TIP: To learn how you can use this terpenes data to better your health, see the Terpenes Library page.

Effects: A much more potent version of the flower’s effects. Mag Mile attends mainly to the body. This is a strong but relaxing high that allows you to unwind from head-to-toe. There’s also a noticeable head high, though it’s not a Sativa cerebral jolt but rather a pleasant calmness of the mind. Unlike the flower, the oil seems to offer more body relaxation, which may be from the CBD levels in the oil. For some, this will be a potent yet functional Indica, while for others it will have the potential for couchlock in moderate to high doses. Quickly but gently lifts the mood and deeply relaxes the body and soul.

Duration of Effects: 2-3+ hours, depending on dosage

May Help With: Helped with mood, stress & cervical spinal nerve pain. May also help with anxiety, PTSD, body pain, nerve pain, muscle conditions, joint pain, difficulty sleeping, appetite (and more)

Rating: 4.5/5
Another outstanding and accurate translation from bud to oil by Ataraxia.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: In late 2017, Ataraxia changed the formulation of their cannabis vape oils. In 2017 rebranded their vape cartridges as "holy water" with a new clear formulation. In the Summer of 2018, Ataraxia reverted back to their original formulation.
