Officer Dick Downey's Pot Report
Today I heard something I thought I’d never hear and did something I thought I’d never do.
What I heard was, “Hey Dude, give me back my glue.” In a normal world, addressing an officer as ‘dude’ and asking for your dope back would result in an alley court session and ABH. That’s Actual Bodily Harm, burnouts. However, I now operate in a neo-socialist twilight zone, where good is bad and bad is good. I had no choice but to give this toker back his “medication”. A real big piece of Officer Downey died today. A real. big. piece.
Method of Extraction: This is solvent-free rosin, which is created by applying heat and pressure to the cannabis flowers using a type of commercial press. No solvent is used in the extraction process.
Type: Sativa-Dominant Hybrid (70%/30%)
Genotype: Gorilla Glue #4 = Chocolate Diesel X Sisdub
Original breeder is GG strains. The strain gets its name because of its very heavy, sticky (glue-like) trichome development.
Chocolate Diesel = Chocolate Trip X Sour Diesel Sisdub = Chem Sis X Sour Dub
Another popular genotype for GG#4 is Chocolate D X Sour Dubb

Characteristics: This rosin was a dark caramel color. Very clean; no visible plant material remnants. The consistency of this rosin was sticky and sap-like. Once I put it in a container, it self-leveled and was easy to worth with.
Packaging: The last time I purchased rosin from Revolution, it came in a small silicone container exactly like the one shown in one of the pics at the top of this review. However, this time the rosin came sandwiched between parchment paper, which was inconvenience and messy. Therefore, I used a razor blade to transfer it to a silicone container for easier use. For medical patients, this product would be much easier to handle if it were packaged in a silicone container instead of between parchment paper.
Terpene Profile: Alpha-Bisabolol 0.0432%; Beta-Caryophyllene 0.4906%; Alpha-Humulene 0.1446%; Limonene 0.1879%; Linalool 0.534%; Beta-Myrcene 0.1375%; Alpha-Pinene 0.0266%; Beta-Pinene 0.0419% (LK Pure Labs)
In its intact state, I detected very light notes of diesel and cocoa. When dabbed, this rosin tasted of pungent fuel followed by chocolate/cocoa notes. There was no detection of burnt flavors, which happens when too much heat is applied (i.e., press is too hot). Lots of lung expansion; can take the breath away.
NOTE: The terpene levels listed above are for the GG#4 flower and NOT for this extract. I'm providing this information to show the terpenes for the strain used to make this rosin.
TIPS: This rosin’s flavors are best expressed at lower temperature dabbing; you won’t catch the nuances at high temps. To learn how you can use this terpenes data to better your health, see the Terpenes Library page.
Effects: For this reviewer, this GG#4 rosin did exhibit its notorious counter-intuitive set of effects. Despite being Sativa-leaning, a fairly heavy body stone takes center stage while a humming cerebral euphoria plays a steady rhythm in the background. The high starts in the eyes and migrates south from there. I think it’s perfect for end-of-day or as needed for stress.
Duration of Effects: 2-3 hours, depending on dosage
May Help With: Helped with stress. May also help with mild body and muscle pain, depression, PTSD, OCD, ADD/ADHD, appetite (and more).
A clean rosin with some decent terps. Not insane flavors, but good. I know the yields are not high when making rosin, so I appreciate that they are still available in the marketplace for patients like me who often prefer non-butane and solventless extracts. Packaging could have been different/improved for medical patients.

What can I say? Up is Down and Down is Up these days.
And remember, the next time you turn around, turn around again...’cause I’ll be there.
