Apricot-Peach Hard Sweets 10mg
Officer Dick Downey's Pot Report
Product: Hard Candy, 10mg THC per piece (Edible)
Form: Hard candy square
IMPORTANT: This product can be considered a “hybrid” edible, which means that when you allow the hard candy piece to linger in your mouth and dissolve, some of the THC and other cannabinoids will absorb into the bloodstream through the mucous membranes of your mouth. You will most likely feel some of the effects from this initial absorption within 10-20 minutes. However, the majority of the hard candy will metabolize in the liver and acts as a typical edible in terms of potency and 1-2 hours delay of effects.
Genotype: Not Strain-Specific
Cultivator: Cresco and Mindy Segal
Date Purchased: 11/01/2016
Packaging: The hard candies are individually wrapped and packaged in a small metal tin, which nicely complements the ‘old fashioned’ spirit of the product.
Cannabis Content: Total THC: 100mg 1 PC: 10mg THC

Delivery Method(s) Used: Oral consumption
Dosage Taken For Review: 2 pieces (or 20 mg of THC)
TIP: A patient contacted me to pass that you can dissolve them in a hot or cold liquid, such as a tea.
Cannabinoids Profile: THCa 0%; THC 100mg; CBDa 0%; CBD 0% (LK Pure Labs)
TIP: To learn how you can use this cannabinoids data to better your health, see the Cannabinoids Library page.
Physical Characteristics: Each piece is approximately 3/4”/19mm square that’s 1/4”/6.4mm thick. The hard candies are an opaque, tangerine-red color.
Flavor Profile: The primary flavors are peach, apricot and butter. When you consider the flavor profile of stone fruit like peaches and apricots, there is a bitter component to them, almost umami-like, especially with the flesh closest to the pit. This flavor profile does include this bitter component, which I liked for its authenticity, though I found it a little on the heavy side. Overall, a nice flavor profile with no detectable cannabis flavor.
TIP: To learn all about terpenes, see the Terpenes Library page.
Effects: The effects for this 20mg dose were a little on the mild side. The high itself was balanced, favoring the cerebral a little bit for this reviewer.
NOTE: To be equitable, effects and potency are assessed within the context of a 20mg dose only, not whether 20mg is therapeutically strong enough or not for the reviewer.
Potency Scale for Experienced Imbibers:
Time Elapsed Before Feeling Any Effects: Felt a very mild sublingual high after 15 minutes had elapsed. Felt the typical edible effects activate at about the 1-hour mark.
Peak of Effects: At 1 hour, 45 min
Duration of Effects: 2 hours, 20 min for a 20mg THC dose
IMPORTANT: The effects, duration and peak times may vary from patient to patient, sometimes significantly. Please be responsible when using edibles. The #1 reason for a bad experience is being impatient and over-medicating. For more information, please see About Edibles and How to Safely Consume Them.
May Help With: Helped with mood and sleep. Depending on dosage, this product may also help with mild forms of body pain, stress (and more)
Gourmet-level quality that does not have any discernible cannabis flavor.
